Craigslist: you can buy roller blades, pot holders and sex

Police have been able to arrest a multitude of both prostitutes and those who pay for their services via the massive classified website, Craigslist.

Since 2005 nearly 70 young women have been arrested for selling themselves on Cragslist. These underage girls posted an add in the "Erotic Services" section of the website to attract customers.

One 14 year old girl who used the website for prostitution stated "I wanted to feel loved. ... I wanted to feel important." Due to the disclaimer on the Craigslist website the actual site can't be held responsible for these activities.

Nursing home

Ivory Jackson (not pictured left), 77, was pronounced dead the week of June 16, following an attack allegedly by Solomon Owasanoye (also not pictured left), 50. An autopsy revealed that Jackson died from blunt force trauma. Police did not reveal whether Owasanoye was an employee of the nursing home.

All Faith Pavilion, the nursing home where Jackson was staying, has been linked to cases of negligence and several other violations.

Come as you are (unless you're a sex offender)

A new Georgia law, effective July 1, would make it illegal for a sex offender to be employed by or volunteer at a church. This would include singing in a church choir, assisting with a bible study, cooking in a church kitchen and a multitude of other activities. The punishment for violating this law would be 10 to 30 years in prison.

Sarah Geraghty, an attorney at the Southern Center for Human Rights stated "-criminalizing the practice of religion for all 15,000 people on the registry will do more harm than good." Five sex offenders have filed a lawsuit, claiming that the new law is too strict. Omar Howard, one of the offenders, said "What really can I do? This law cripples me. All I can do is go to sermons and leave. Why am I a threat to exercise my faith?"

Argument over a cookie

Aaron Thompson (pictured left) has entered a plea of not guilty against the 60 charges that he faces including fatal child abuse. In 2005 Thompson's daughter, six-year-old Aarone, went missing. The father claimed that the little girl ran away over an argument with a cookie.

Thompson is also accused of abusing his seven other children. The grand jury has alleged that he beat Aarone and repeatedly locked her in a closet for hours.

The police have stated that Aarone was killed about 18 months before her father reported her missing. This suspicious was caused when Thompson was unable to produce a recent photo of his daughter during the search. Aarone's body has not been found.

Stupid Criminal of the Week: Horse shoe

Corsha Beasley, 21, refused to move aside when mounted police officers were responding to a stabbing at a local bar. The officers were trying to clear the crowd from around the building when the incident occurred.

When Steven Nash and his horse Dusty (pictured left) touched Beasley she allegedly struck both the horse and the officer on the head with her high-heel shoe. This attack caused only minor injuries. However, Beasley has been charged with interference with a police service animal, a second-degree felony, and assault on a peace officer, a third-degree felony.

Note to criminals: Leave the horses out of it. Dusty is so cute!
